What kind of information and questions will My Aged Care (MAC) ask me?

Here are some of the qualifying questions My Aged Care will ask: 


1. Health diagnosis  

2. Hospital admission 

3. Unable to do ADLs 

4. Carer strain or change in carer status 

5. Slip, trip or falls or falls risk 

6. Health episode (heart attack) 

7. Reduced driving ability 

8. Frailty/ mobility 

9. Pain 

10 .Vulnerability loss of spouse, isolation, financial hardship 

11. Drastic behavior 


 

MAC Questions: 


• Have you recently experienced any of the following? 


1. A stay in hospital.  

2. A slip, trip or fall.  

3. An illness or disease.  

4. Sudden weight changes.  

 

• How have you been feeling recently?  


1. Anxious or depressed.

2. Confused or finding it difficult to remember things.  

3. That my behavior is changing.  

4. Lonely or socially isolated.  

 

• Are you experiencing (or about to experience) any of these situations?  


1. Your family or friends are no longer able to help you.  

2. Your living arrangements have changed.  

3. You are experiencing financial hardship.  

4. You worry for your safety when left alone.
